about

New agitations and atmospheres for your earheadspace. Initial recordings for "Refractory" were from performances at venues in and near Washington, DC: Third Floor Loft, Rhizome, Pyramid Atlantic Arts, and Electric Maid, from June 2014 through July 2017. Editing, overdubs, mixing, and mastering followed sporadically thereafter. Two studio-recorded tracks have previously appeared on compilations:

The CD sleeve states "A different mix of "Refractory" appears on "Excerpts From Ten Innovative Workout Tapes"" (in 2016 via Fuzzy Panda Recording Company - check out their releases on BandCamp). This recording is really a new version with some edits (20 seconds shorter), mix changes, and new parts.

"Raise Your Glass" was included on the "Thirsty and Miserable" 2CD compilation in memoriam for local musician and graphic artist Jeffrey Prosser. This was the final TL0741 project originated on analogue half-inch tape and the tracks were remixed digitally for this release.

Hello gearheads: all sounds on the track "Hydrothermal" came from the Vermona Perfourmer Mk II analogue synthesizer, treated mostly through the Boss SE-70 "Super Effects Processor". Sometimes called "The Poor Man's Eventide", that little box has been an able companion since 1993.
